On the hunt for the dress of your dreams? Brides across the nation have voted The White Wardrobe as one of the most loved places in which to shop ahead of the big day. The Hitchin-based spot was voted the second Most Loved Bridal Shop in the UK, in a nationwide search conducted by TheBestOf (www.thebestof.co.uk/loveometer).
The two-week long campaign rated 30,000 businesses from across the country, including one bridal category where The White Wardrobe received 168 recommendations for its customer service - just two votes behind the winner, Daisy B Nell in Evesham.
Run by Nicola Prebble (pictured right), The White Wardrobe opened in 1999 and she tells us it's the individual approach that sets the company apart: "We work rather differently in that we sell designer samples, which means that brides-to-be on a tight budget can buy high cost designer dresses for less. Talk about bridal parties in unexpected places... We here at County Wedding Magazines are proud to be supporting the new Brides at Work campaign - a national day on 17th September when brides old and new from all over the country will be wearing their wedding dresses to work to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
In association with The National Wedding Show, brides, bridesmaids, grooms and mother-of-the-brides everywhere are being urged wear their wedding finery and celebrate Brides at Work.
